Professor Rondinelli is profiled as the 2016 Emerging Investigators themed issue on Novel design strategies for new functional materials appearing in the Journal of Materials Chemistry C, which highlights 2016’s rising stars of materials chemistry research. Rondinelli’s contribution titled “Design of noncentrosymmetric perovskites from centric and acentric basic building units,” J. Mater. Chem. C, 4, 4016-4027 (2016) discusses new routes for realizing functional electronic materials without inversion symmetry.
Each contributor was recommended by our prestigious Editorial Board as carrying out work with the potential to influence future directions in materials chemistry. Congratulations to all of those who feature on their important work so far in the field of materials for optical, magnetic and electronic devices.
